Loved by children & parents
If tuition feels like a chore, the chances of your child being inspired to learn are pretty much non-existent. All too often the whole process becomes a struggle between parent and child – and no matter how much you want to help your child succeed academically, no parent wants to turn their home into a battleground.
But what if getting your child to engage with a tuition programme was easy? Even effortless!
What if they started leaping out of bed in the morning, eager to complete the next step on their tuition programme or catch up with their coach?
What if you didn’t have to bribe and cajole them to complete their work?
Seeing is believing!
It probably sounds too good to be true, but we’ve seen it happen time and time again. (Millions of times, in fact, at Eye Level centres all over the world!)
When a child enrols with Eye Level, something shifts:
- Children become the directors of their own learning journey, because they actually enjoy the work and feel excited to make progress.
- They develop a genuine love of learning, are happier at school and achieve higher than expected scores in SATS, 11+ and GCSE exams.
- Parents see their child becoming increasingly confident and self-motivated as they develop their critical-thinking and independent-study skills.
Tailored programmes led by ability, not age
For more than 45 years, our philosophy has centred on education being about ability, not age. That’s why we assess each child individually before structuring their maths or English programme to meet them at their current level, fill any gaps in their learning and set them on their own tailored path to success. It’s not about fitting your child into our programme, but adapting our programme to best support your child. Because there are many ways for different children to achieve the same educational goal.
While our syllabus is aligned to the British National Curriculum, our emphasis on fostering independent-learning skills means that our students regularly exceed its age-related expectations.
Engaging workbooks and meaningful feedback
Eye Level workbooks are colourful, varied and enjoyable for children to complete. They even include comic strips! Our aim is always to engage children with age-appropriate content that teaches them the things they really need to know to do well at school – almost without them knowing they’re learning!
All marking is done by our instructors (so parents, you’re off the hook!) and regular feedback is delivered in whatever way works best for you. We can book a phone call, schedule a video call, send a progress report electronically or meet you in our Learning Centres to review your child’s progress.
Though, of course, the most meaningful measure of progress will be the transformation in your child’s abilities and attitude to learning – and you won’t need us to tell you about that!
Study when and where it suits you
When you enrol your child on an Eye Level tuition programme, you can choose to attend one of our Learning Centres or study from home via our virtual classroom, Eye Level On Air.
Whichever option you go for, you’ll get access to our award-winning curriculum, a range of fun and interactive workbooks and supportive, passionate coaches.
Dedicated, consistent coaching
Technology is incredible and has much to bring to education, but when it comes to supporting and motivating children to learn, we will always be firmly in the camp that believes nothing can replace a real relationship and human interaction. That’s why all our programmes include one-to-one coaching sessions up to twice a week.
From day one, your child will be assigned a graduate-level Eye Level instructor who will stay with them throughout their programme. Our coaches are selected for their ability to guide learners to think and solve problems for themselves, as opposed to simply giving them the answers. This approach helps our students develop the critical-thinking skills that will not only empower them to reach their full potential at school, but are highly sought after by grammar schools, universities and employers.
Why do parents choose Eye Level?
Who better to answer that question than our parents themselves? Here’s what they have to say about their experience of Eye Level tuition:
